Powder coating is a dry finishing technique that utilizes a powder mixture of pigment and resin that is electrostatically sprayed onto powder surfaces. Secondly, the heated parts are cured under extreme heat which melts the powder into a shiny smooth coating. During this process, we achieve the best results which tend to be more sustainable, durable, and stronger as compared to the liquid paint application.

Benefits of Powder Coating

  • Durability: Unlike the latter, powder coating is able to ensure tougher finish as against conventional paints. It is highly resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wear, thus it is suitable to deploy as aesthetics and protection.
  • Wide Range of Colors and Finishes: Among colors, you have a variety of finishes you can select from, such as gloss, matte, satin, metallic, and textured finishes. In addition, the finish of your wheel, frame, and other metal components can be customized.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Powder coating, which is solvent free and emits very little amount of VOC is environmentally friendly.
  • Cost-Effective: Compared to conventional painting, powder coating possesses a longer lifespan. This reduces the consumer costs that are related to repainting and refinishing.

Powder Coating Process

  • Preparation: Following this process, all parts are cleaned thoroughly and correspondingly sandblasted in order to remove any former paint, rust or debris forming a perfect surface for coating.
  • Application: Electrostatic atomization technology is the underlying base for the uniform distribution of the powder over the shape of the part.
  • Curing: The parts are loaded to the curing oven where they are slowly heated to obtain the correct temperature that will cause a chemical reaction on the powder layer for a solid and durable finish.
  • Quality Check: Each part is inspected to ensure a flawless finish and complete coverage.

I brought my Ford Edge in for a full wrap plus remove my old wrap . When I brought it in I noticed right away the place is super clean a place where you can feel comfortable leaving your vehicle . Although I don’t have a high end vehicle like most of the cars these guys do they did treat me and the vehicle equally the same. Their work quality is superior which is backed by a nice warranty .
